Ogun Police Warn Public Over Fake 2026 Recruitment Schedule

The Ogun State Police Command has alerted members of the public to disregard a fake “2026 Recruitment Medical Screening Schedule” currently circulating online. The Command described the document as false, misleading, and an attempt by fraudsters to exploit unsuspecting applicants.

Official Clarification on Recruitment Process

In a public notice, the Command clarified that no official date has been fixed for any medical screening exercise under the ongoing recruitment process. It stressed that the circulation of such fabricated schedules is not only unapproved but also intended to mislead applicants into falling victim to scams.

According to the Command, the fake notice being shared on social media and messaging platforms falsely claims to provide dates, venues, and instructions for a medical screening exercise. Authorities confirmed that none of such details originated from the Police Service Commission or the Nigeria Police Force recruitment authorities.

Warning Against Fraudulent Activities

The Command warned that individuals behind such false publications often use them to request payments, personal details, or registration fees from desperate applicants. It added that the recruitment process remains strictly free, transparent, and officially regulated.

Applicants were strongly advised to ignore the fake schedule and avoid engaging with any person or platform claiming to offer special access, placement, or accelerated processing in the recruitment exercise.

Official Communication Channels

The Command further directed all candidates to rely only on official communication channels for authentic updates regarding the recruitment process. These include the Police Service Commission portal (psc.gov.ng), the official recruitment platform (npfapplication.psc.gov.ng), and the verified social media handle @PSCNigeria.

Authorities reiterated that all legitimate updates, including screening dates, requirements, and venue information, will be communicated strictly through these approved channels at the appropriate time.

Call for Vigilance

The Ogun State Police Command also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious messages or individuals attempting to defraud applicants under the guise of recruitment activities. The Command noted that such cases will be investigated and prosecuted.

Applicants were advised to remain patient and avoid panic, as the Command assured that no phase of the recruitment exercise will commence without a proper official announcement.
