Twin sister reveals N7m hospital debt after suicide over alleged r@pe

Faith Agbro, the twin sister of the late Favour Agbro, has disclosed that her family amassed a staggering ₦7 million debt in a desperate attempt to save her sister's life after an alleged sexual assault by content creator Odogwu Asaaba. Favour, 20, died by suicide following the incident.

Family Incurred Massive Debt for Emergency Treatment

In a video interview alongside the family's legal counsel, Barrister Awele Ideal, Faith explained that the family borrowed heavily from multiple sources to fund emergency medical interventions as Favour's health deteriorated. Creditors are now pressuring the family for immediate repayment, adding to their grief.

Controversy Over Potential Out-of-Court Settlement

Faith revealed that before her death, Favour had expressed a desire for leniency toward Odogwu Asaaba, citing empathy for his twin daughters. The deceased's father has also reportedly shown compassion toward the suspect due to the advanced age of the content creator's mother. Barrister Ideal confirmed that the suspect has offered "lucrative" terms to the bereaved family to drop the matter. However, the legal counsel strongly advised against accepting any settlement, warning it would compromise the ongoing judicial process.
