Alternative Routes and Traffic Management

To manage the expected traffic flow and ensure the safety of all participants and road users, the state is deploying a robust team of traffic and security personnel. This includes officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps.

Motorists are strongly advised to use the following alternative routes:

For those commuting from Ozumba Mbadiwe towards the Third Mainland Bridge, the recommended path is through Bonny Camp to the Onikan underpass, then link the Marina Exit to Force Road and join Outer Marina to access the bridge.

Travelers from Apongbon heading to Ikoyi should use Odunlami Street to connect to Igbosere Road, then proceed via Moloney Street to reach Ikoyi Road.

Appeal for Cooperation

Commissioner Osiyemi has appealed to all motorists and commuters to cooperate with the traffic management officials deployed along the routes. He assured the public that the road closures are temporary and that all affected routes will be reopened progressively as the race concludes. This proactive measure is essential for the safety and success of the thousands of participants expected at the 10th Women Run.
