PFL Africa has outlined the next phase of its fan engagement campaign in Lagos following the launch of promotional activities on June 6, as organisers build momentum towards the mixed martial arts promotion’s June 13 Fight Night.
Campaign Expansion Across Lagos
The organisation said the campaign, which began with gym and nightlife activations in Victoria Island on Saturday, is designed to introduce more Nigerians to professional MMA while boosting awareness and ticket sales ahead of the event. With the opening activations completed, attention now shifts to a series of street engagements scheduled for Surulere on June 9 and the CMS area of Marina on June 10.
Organisers said the events would feature live fighter demonstrations, interactive contests, music performances and fan challenges aimed at increasing public participation. Central to the campaign is the “Who Wants to Step Into the Cage?” initiative, which encourages spectators to engage directly with fighters and compete for prizes, including VIP tickets and official merchandise.
Blending Sports and Entertainment
PFL Africa said the activations are intended to create a blend of sports and entertainment capable of attracting both MMA enthusiasts and first-time followers of the sport. The promotion added that brand ambassadors and support teams would be present at activation venues to assist fans with ticket purchases and provide information about the June 13 showcase.
The campaign is also being supported by partnerships with major radio stations across Lagos, including Wazobia FM, Beat FM, Cool FM, Nigeria Info, Classic FM, Lagos Talks and Radio Jusmen, with planned giveaways, interviews and live updates from activation venues. Digital creators and influencers have also been enlisted to generate content around the event through online challenges, weigh-ins and themed promotional activities designed to stimulate conversations ahead of fight night.
Broader Goals for MMA in Nigeria
PFL Africa said the campaign forms part of broader efforts to expand the profile of mixed martial arts in Nigeria and establish the promotion as a major player in the country’s growing sports entertainment industry.
