Osimhen Hints at Galatasaray Stay Amid European Interest

Victor Osimhen has dropped a strong hint about his future at Galatasaray, stating he looks forward to the next season with the Turkish champions despite ongoing transfer interest from top European clubs. The Nigerian striker, who has been linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal, made it clear he is committed to the Istanbul side.

Osimhen's Success at Galatasaray

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan in the summer of 2024 after Napoli blocked moves to Al-Ahli and Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea failed to agree personal terms. He made an immediate impact, prompting the club to pay a Turkish record €75 million to sign him permanently. In his second season, he led Galatasaray to another Turkish Super League title and a Round of 16 appearance in the UEFA Champions League, alerting top clubs across Europe.

Osimhen's Comments on His Future

Speaking to Fanatik, Osimhen said: “We have been promoting the Turkish League to the world for years. We are making both the country and the league noticeable. Next season, we will be even better and represent Galatasaray even better.” He added, “We are the best. We have said this many times. And we will come back with the same hunger next season.” Osimhen also expressed his eagerness to return to the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex, calling it “the best atmosphere in the world.”

Galatasaray's Stance and Potential Transfer Fee

Galatasaray have publicly stated they do not want to sell Osimhen, who signed a contract in 2025 worth €21 million per year, with three years remaining. However, Haber Sari Kirmizi reports that a bid of around €150 million could persuade the club to sell. Despite this, Osimhen's comments suggest he is prepared to stay and continue his success in Turkey.

Interest from Top European Clubs

Osimhen has been a target for several elite clubs since his Serie A title-winning season with Napoli in 2022-23. Real Madrid, at the request of manager Jose Mourinho, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal are among the clubs monitoring him. Manchester United have also joined the race, looking to improve their squad after missing out on Osimhen previously in favor of Rasmus Hojlund.

Osimhen's commitment to Galatasaray could be a significant boost for the club as they aim to build on their domestic dominance and make a deeper run in the Champions League. His hunger and determination, as expressed in his recent statements, indicate he is focused on the upcoming season with the Lions.
