The organizers of the 2026 Unity Cup have confirmed that the international friendly tournament will take place at Charlton Athletic's The Valley Stadium in London. The competition features Nigeria, Jamaica, India, and Zimbabwe, with Nigeria defending its title. The event is scheduled from May 26 to 30.
Entertainment Partnership Announced
SMADE EG has been named the official Entertainment Partner for the tournament. The organizers stated that the Unity Cup is returning to its historic South London home, continuing its legacy of combining elite football with cultural celebration, building on the success of the 2025 edition. This year marks the first time Zimbabwe will play a competitive football match in the UK.
British-Nigerian entrepreneur Dr. Adesegun Adeosun Jr., founder of SMADE Entertainment, expressed his excitement: "For over 22 years, SMADE has existed to serve our communities. On the biggest stages, in the loudest rooms, in the most meaningful moments. From building Afro Nation into a global movement to running the London Marathon for The Africa Centre, it has always been about showing up for our people in every arena. The Unity Cup is the perfect stage for what comes next. Four nations. Four cultures. One unstoppable voice. This is football. This is culture. This is us."
Fixtures and Schedule
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Super Eagles will face Zimbabwe in the first semifinal on May 26, while Jamaica and India will play on May 27. The losers of the semifinals will compete in the third-place match on May 30, and the winners will battle for the championship title on the same day. All semifinal and final matches kick off at 7:30 p.m., except the third-place play-off, which starts at 2:30 p.m.
Cultural Celebrations
With SMADE Entertainment Group leading the entertainment, cultural representations from each of the four nations will be showcased during intervals between games. A spokesperson for The Unity Cup remarked, "Unity Cup and SMADE are a natural fit because we share the same DNA. We both believe sport and culture are most powerful when they're together. This is what happens when you put the right people in the same room and let them do what they do best." The finals day will extend beyond football, transforming The Valley into a full-scale cultural celebration with global food experiences representing all four nations.
