Heirs Insurance Group has introduced a new digital platform aimed at widening insurance penetration and accelerating financial inclusion across Nigeria. The company unveiled Prince AI, a multi-language, interactive artificial intelligence assistant designed to break language barriers, improve insurance awareness, simplify policy purchase and renewals, and make claims processing easier for customers.
Prince AI: A Digital Transformation Milestone
The launch coincided with the insurer's fifth anniversary and reflects the growing competition among insurance companies to deploy technology-driven solutions that enhance customer experience and expand market reach. Prince AI provides instant responses to inquiries about insurance products, policy coverage, claims processing, and other insurance-related services. The assistant supports multiple local and international languages, including English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese, among others.
Customers can use the platform to purchase and renew policies, as well as initiate and track claims through WhatsApp, the SimpleLife Mobile App, and the company's website.
Leadership Perspective
Peace Okhianmhense-Philips, Chief Digital Officer of Heirs Insurance Group, stated during the unveiling that this innovation represents a major milestone in the company's digital transformation journey. She emphasized that the deployment of generative artificial intelligence would improve service efficiency while making insurance more accessible and customer-friendly.
“Prince AI represents the next phase of digital evolution. By embedding generative AI into customer experience, we are not only improving speed and efficiency but also humanising insurance,” she said.
She added that the technology would enable the company to connect more effectively with customers by delivering faster, more intelligent, and accessible support services.
Adaptive Intelligence Capabilities
The insurer noted that the platform was developed with adaptive intelligence capabilities, allowing it to continuously improve through customer interactions and provide more accurate responses over time.
Industry Analyst Insights
A Lagos-based insurance analyst, Justice Ibe, remarked that language accessibility remains one of the barriers to insurance penetration in Nigeria, particularly among underserved and informal market segments. According to him, deploying AI platforms that support indigenous languages could improve financial inclusion and encourage wider adoption of insurance products.
