Key religious figures have powerfully underscored the indispensable role of women in building strong families and shaping the destiny of nations. This clarion call was made during the annual women's convention of the Victory Life Bible Church International, held in Ogun State.
Apostle Achudume on Legacy and Purposeful Living
The event, themed "Overflow," saw the Lead Pastor, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, describe women as profoundly complex yet extraordinarily powerful beings. He emphasized that women possess the innate capacity to either build up or tear down the fabric of families, communities, and entire countries.
Apostle Achudume charged all participants to consciously make decisions that uplift, motivate, and bring positive transformation to their environments. He placed significant stress on the importance of establishing a godly legacy for future generations.
"No mother desires to see her children suffer," Achudume stated. "You came into this world with nothing, and you will leave with nothing. Let your children enjoy the fruits of your labour and ensure that you live purposefully, wisely and committed to God’s plans." He framed this as a central duty for mothers in raising their children.
Guest Minister Barbra Kiweweisi Calls for Godly Perspective
The guest minister, Pastor Barbra Kiweweisi from Uganda, delivered a stirring message urging women to view themselves through the lens of divine creation. She reminded them that God has endowed them with unique strength, beauty, and a clear sense of purpose.
"If every woman knows what she carries, she will understand she was created not just to give birth or manage a home, but to impact the world," Pastor Kiweweisi declared. She advised women to shun distractions and concentrate on making meaningful contributions, mindful that life is finite.
Explaining the convention's theme, she described 'Overflow' as a life deeply rooted in God's promises, characterized by unending abundance in spiritual, emotional, and practical areas. She emphasized the critical need for women to fully accept their spiritual identity and authority, assuring them that God attentively hears their prayers.
A Celebration of Unity and Cultural Heritage
In her opening address, Mrs. Funke Adeyanju welcomed attendees and encouraged them to be exemplary representatives of womanhood. She noted that the yearly gathering is specifically designed to foster spiritual growth in women, equipping them for significant influence and enduring impact.
Mrs. Adeyanju interpreted the "Overflow" theme as a divine summons for women to develop greater integrity, clarity of purpose, and dedication to God's blueprint for their lives.
The convention was also a vibrant display of culture and remembrance. Women from various church districts participated in joyful dances before the altar. They also displayed banners decorated with the image of the late Reverend Fola Achudume, adding a poignant touch of heritage and continuity to the proceedings.
The collective message from the 6 December 2025 event was unequivocal: when women recognize and harness their God-given value and power, they become unparalleled agents of positive overflow in every sphere of society.
