Ejiro Shares Her Ordeal After Being Freed from Spiritual Group
Ejiro, a fashion designer who once owned a successful business until she went silent, has now spoken about her ordeal after her family raised awareness about her disappearance. Last year, the hashtag #WhereIsEjiro? sparked concern online as her family demanded her release from a spiritual group that they said alienated her from them.
How It All Started
Speaking in church on Sunday, July 5, 2026, Ejiro said it all began when she celebrated a milestone birthday. Afterwards, she received a prophetic message from the group, telling her that God wanted to use her to redeem her family. Because there were certain issues in her family she had been praying about, she believed them and joined the ministry.
Manipulation and Isolation
While with the spiritual group, she was instructed to sell all she had and give the money to the ministry. She was told that God wanted to strip her of everything before lifting her up. Ejiro obeyed to the point that she had nothing at all and wore rags. The group made her lose trust in her family and friends, even telling her that her mother was a witch, which she believed due to extensive manipulation.
Whenever she was about to come to her senses and think for herself, they would manipulate her using the Holy Spirit. She added that they assigned her a handler whom she thought was her friend, but that handler always reported back to the group whatever she was thinking or planning.
Family Intervention and Gradual Escape
When her family and friends cried out last year, the ministry sent her to her family to tell them she was okay and doing what she wanted. However, after that, she started gradually building the courage to leave the ministry. She began by joining the NSPPD prayer group online and, with time, broke free from the manipulations of the spiritual group, having to start all over again from scratch.
Restoration and Success
Ejiro said it was on July 7, 2025, that she started afresh, and God has restored her in just one year. Between March and now, she has made N83 million from her business as a fashion designer.
