However, investigative checks have confirmed that the widely circulated image is not a recent snapshot. The picture, which shows the trio sharing a warm moment, is actually a "throwback" believed to have been taken at an event in 2024, a period when 2Baba and Annie were still together as a couple.
This same photograph was previously used by a news outlet in January 2025 while reporting on comments made by Nasboi regarding the couple's separation. Its recent recirculation online led many to mistakenly interpret it as new evidence of a rekindled relationship.
Divorce Status and Social Media Clues
The speculation was further fueled by Annie Macaulay's recent decision to revert her social media handle to "Idibia." This move was interpreted by numerous observers as a potential sign that the divorce proceedings between her and the "African Queen" singer may not have been finalised.
This development comes months after 2Baba publicly confirmed the end of his marriage in a controversial Instagram post in January 2025. In that statement, he disclosed that they had been separated "for a while" and had already filed for divorce, promising to later share his side of the story.
2Baba's New Chapter and Recent Turmoil
Following the separation announcement, 2Baba moved on with Edo State lawmaker, Honourable Natasha Osawaru. Their relationship quickly became public, and by July 2025, reports emerged that the pair had a quiet traditional marriage ceremony.
However, this new chapter soon faced public controversy. In November 2025, a video allegedly showing 2Baba being arrested in the United Kingdom over claims of assault against Natasha went viral online. The incident sparked heated debates on domestic abuse, with associates of the singer countering the allegations and claiming the lawmaker was the aggressor in their relationship.
