The ongoing property dispute surrounding late Afrobeat singer Mohbad has taken a dramatic turn as Karimot Ogunbayo, the elder sister of Mohbad's widow Wunmi Aloba, launched a scathing attack against both families involved in the conflict.
Family Conflict Over Late Singer's Estate
Karimo, a U.S.-based nurse, expressed her outrage in a viral social media video that circulated widely on November 26, 2025. Her emotional outburst came hours after her sister Wunmi initiated legal proceedings to secure control over Mohbad's estate, claiming she needed to protect the property from unauthorized claims by other parties.
The property dispute has been brewing between Wunmi and her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, popularly known as Baba Mohbad. The conflict extends beyond property matters to include demands for DNA testing for Mohbad's only son and other unresolved issues since the singer's tragic death.
Karimo's Emotional Condemnation
In her passionate address, Karimo questioned the priorities of both families, highlighting that Mohbad's body has remained in the morgue since 2023 without concrete burial plans. She expressed deep disappointment that instead of focusing on giving the singer a proper farewell, the families are engrossed in property disputes.
"What plans do you even have for Mohbad's burial? You are all concerned about the property he left behind. Shame on you!" Karimo declared in the video. "Nobody is talking about how or where he will be buried. Some people don't sleep just because they want to know what really killed Mohbad, but the family is busy doing rubbish."
The furious sister didn't spare anyone in her criticism, stating "You are all unfortunate beings, both the wife and the in-laws, for your greed" and warning that "You all will eat his properties, and it will finish."
