The publication informs the public of her request to change her name to Zahara Marley Jolie and invites anyone wishing to object to submit a written objection before the final court hearing. Zahara reportedly filed the petition in June. A hearing has been scheduled for September 28, when a judge is expected to rule on the application if no objections are filed.
Family Pattern of Surname Changes
Zahara's move follows a similar legal process undertaken by her sister, Shiloh, who officially dropped "Pitt" from her surname in 2024 after completing the same publication requirement. Other siblings, including Maddox and Vivienne, have also stopped publicly using the Pitt surname in recent years. A source close to Brad Pitt told TMZ that they believe Angelina Jolie is responsible for the strained relationship between the actor and his children.
