Adam Sandler's Simple Advice for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Andy Reid, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach, has revealed the heartfelt advice that comedian Adam Sandler gave to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce when he officiated their wedding. The ceremony took place on Friday, July 3, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and Reid was among the guests at the star-studded event.
During an interview with CNN, Reid shared what Sandler told the newlyweds. “He said kiss every chance you get — every chance you have, every single day,” Reid recounted. “So whether you’re going to bed or going to work … go ahead and kiss her.” Reid added, “And I thought that was … in a simple way, in its simplest form, really, was touching that way.”
Reid Repeats the Advice at Press Conference
On Sunday, July 5, during a press conference, Reid reiterated Sandler’s words. In a video posted by reporter Krysyan Edler on X, Reid said, “Hard to argue when you give your wife a kiss, or your wife gives you a kiss. Make sure you do it every day, every minute, if you have an opportunity to do it, knock it out, and you won’t have problems.”
Reid praised Sandler’s performance as a wedding officiant. “In a simply, hysterical way, he was a phenomenal … he’s crazy, but he did a great job in getting them married with a lot of humor but that part there I thought, pretty good advice, in its simplest form,” he shared.
Sandler's Qualified Marriage Advice
Sandler is certainly qualified to offer marriage advice, having been happily married to his wife, Jackie, for 23 years. The couple tied the knot in June 2003. Sandler and his two daughters, Sadie (20) and Sunny (17), have been longtime fans of 36-year-old Swift. They attended her Eras Tour in August 2023 and the red carpet premiere of the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” concert film in October 2023.
