The Ekiti State governorship election recorded early arrivals of voting materials and ad hoc officials at polling units in most parts of Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, on Saturday.
Early Deployment at Key Units
At Ward 11, Unit 9 in Ado-Ekiti, electoral materials and officials were already on the ground before the scheduled commencement time, as growing crowds of voters waited patiently for the exercise to begin. A similar situation was observed at Ward 4, Ado Ijigbo; Unit 003; and Unit 04 at the Imugbagba market, where early deployment was also noted.
Voters Check Lists Ahead of Accreditation
As of press time, electorate were seen checking their names on the pasted voters’ lists at the units in anticipation of accreditation and voting. The early arrival of materials and officials has been widely praised as a positive start to the election process.
