The North West chapter of the APC Youth League has publicly denounced a group claiming to represent APC support coalitions in Kebbi State, declaring the organization as completely unauthorized and without any legitimate standing within the party structure.
Youth League Exposes Illegitimate Group
During a significant press conference held in Kaduna this week, the youth leadership categorically stated that the so-called coalition lacks any formal recognition at all levels of the APC hierarchy. Comrade Aliyu Suleiman, who serves as the national coordinator of the league, emphasized that this group has no presence in ward, local government, state, or national party structures.
Suleiman did not mince words when describing the coalition's activities, stating that the organization has never contributed to party activities, never mobilized voters, and maintains no record of genuine grassroots engagement. He characterized the group's primary function as exploiting Senator Bagudu's hard-earned reputation for personal gain and political opportunism.
Strong Endorsement for Budget Minister
The youth leaders used the platform to express their unwavering support for Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, whom they described as one of the party's most reliable pillars in the North West region. They highlighted his crucial role in strengthening APC structures not only in Kebbi State but throughout the entire North West geopolitical zone.
According to the league's statement, Bagudu's leadership has consistently promoted unity, youth empowerment, and community-focused development initiatives. They praised his approachable nature and commitment to improving the lives of ordinary citizens, noting that his experience and vision remain indispensable to both the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.
Call for Party Unity and Support for Governor
Beyond defending Minister Bagudu, the youth league issued a strong appeal for party members to maintain loyalty to Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State. They stressed that maintaining party unity is absolutely essential for sustaining development gains and advancing the APC's agenda in the region.
The group warned against distractions from what they termed shadow groups and political opportunists, insisting that the APC must remain united and forward-looking. They highlighted the major progress achieved in governance, infrastructure, and youth empowerment through the efforts of Senator Bagudu and other key leaders, urging members to focus on consolidating these gains rather than engaging with unauthorized groups.
The briefing, which attracted senior APC youth leaders and political observers, concluded with a renewed commitment to defend the party's cohesion and ensure that Bagudu continues to play his strategic role in both the APC and the Tinubu administration.
