Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Radda, has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the presidential election in 2027 and secure a second term as Nigeria's leader. The governor also stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will achieve overwhelming victories in both federal and state polls during next year's general elections.
Governor Radda made these remarks on Saturday afternoon in his hometown of Radda, located in Charanchi Local Government Area, during the APC presidential primary election. The primary was held nationwide to affirm the party's presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 election. He emphasized that the massive turnout and support observed during previous primaries and Saturday's exercise demonstrate the APC's numerical advantage in electing its candidates for various positions across the state and country.
Expressing satisfaction with the large turnout in his hometown, Radda noted that the widespread participation reflects the strength of democracy and the growing confidence of Nigerians in the APC-led administration. He said, "Today is the final day of the APC primary election where members are endorsing the president as the party's candidate for the 2027 general election. APC is a party that gives equal opportunity and democratic rights to its members to elect their leaders. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not the only aspirant in the race; Stanley Osifo also purchased the nomination form and contested. What we have seen today has strengthened our confidence that, by the grace of God, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a second term in office to continue steering the affairs of the nation."
Former Governor Shema Echoes Confidence
In a related development, former Katsina State Governor, Barr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, echoed similar sentiments. He stated that despite the caliber of candidates presented by opposition parties, President Tinubu will still defeat them in the 2027 election. Shema, who spoke to reporters at his residence in Dutsinma council area, urged APC members to actively promote the party's manifesto across every corner of the country to boost the chances of the party and its candidates in the upcoming elections.
