NYSC Opens 2025 Batch C Remobilisation Portal for Absconded Corps Members
NYSC Opens Portal for Absconded Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a critical notice to former corps members who did not complete their mandatory service year. The scheme has announced a limited-time opportunity for such individuals to regularise their status through a remobilisation exercise.

Key Dates and Portal Access for 2025 Batch C

In an official statement released on Wednesday, December 15, 2025, the NYSC management declared that the online portal for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Remobilisation exercise will be active from Tuesday, December 16, to Monday, December 23, 2025. This one-week window is the only period during which eligible corps members can apply. The NYSC has made it clear that applications submitted outside these dates will not be considered under any circumstances.

The announcement was made public via the scheme's verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, @officialnyscng. This exercise is specifically designed for corps members who absconded from service during their initial mobilisation batch and now seek a second chance to fulfil their national duty.

Strict Guidelines for Allowance Refunds and Registration

A major highlight of the notice concerns financial obligations. The NYSC explicitly directed that any corps member required to refund the monthly allowance they received during their incomplete service year must process the payment exclusively through their personal NYSC dashboard. The management stressed that payments made through any other channel or platform will not be recognised or acknowledged by the scheme.

Furthermore, the NYSC provided clarification for a specific group of applicants. Corps members who successfully registered during the earlier 2025 Batch ‘B’ remobilisation but failed to complete the necessary physical documentation at their designated state of remobilisation have been instructed to start the process anew. They are required to register again for the ongoing Batch ‘C’ exercise to be considered.

Context: The Regular 2025 Batch C Cycle

This remobilisation announcement comes on the heels of the conclusion of the standard 2025 Batch C orientation programme. The last set of newly mobilised corps members entered orientation camps across Nigeria in November 2025. They completed the mandatory three-week camp, which includes paramilitary drills, skills acquisition training, and official briefings, in early December. These corps members have since been posted to their Places of Primary Assignment (PPA) to begin the service year.

The remobilisation process offers a critical corrective path for those who left service prematurely. It underscores the NYSC's structured approach to managing exceptions while maintaining the integrity of the national service programme. Prospective applicants are urged to act swiftly and adhere strictly to the published guidelines to avoid missing this final opportunity for the year.
