Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is set to deliver a significant public lecture in Kaduna on Tuesday, marking Nigeria's 65th Independence Anniversary. The event organized by the Arewa Think Tank will feature prominent political figures and leaders from across the nation.

Distinguished Gathering for National Reflection

Governor Sanwo-Olu, who also chairs the South-West Governors Forum, will present a lecture titled "65 Years of Nigeria's Independence: A Journey So Far with the Renewed Hope Agenda in View." The lecture comes at a crucial time as the nation reflects on its developmental trajectory since gaining independence.

The Arewa Think Tank, a respected Northern Nigerian socio-political and policy advocacy organization, is hosting the one-day public event at the historic Arewa House in Kaduna. The group comprises professionals from all 19 northern states, representing diverse expertise and perspectives on national issues.

High-Profile Attendance and Event Structure

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will grace the occasion as Special Guest of Honour, underscoring the event's national significance. The gathering will be chaired by former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim Pius, with co-chairmanship by Madakin Zazzau, Mallam Mohammed Munir Ja'afaru.

Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani will serve as Chief Host, while the Emir of Birnin Gwari, His Royal Highness Malam Zubair Jibril Maigwari II, will act as Royal Father of the Day. The event promises robust discussions on Nigeria's past, present, and future development.
