The Dawn, a prominent Nigerian Muslim professional and youth-focused organisation, has officially inaugurated a new executive leadership team to steer its affairs for the 2025–2027 administrative tenure. This significant transition was formally announced on Friday, 3 January 2026, following the successful conclusion of the Dawah Holiday Programme 2025 (DHP’25) held in Ibadan, Oyo State.
A Strategic Leadership Transition
In a joint press statement, the newly appointed National Amir, Abdullah Mumuni, and the Head of Media, Abdul-hamid Bello, outlined the vision behind the change. They revealed that the leadership handover was publicly unveiled during the closing session of DHP’25. According to the statement, this move represents a strategic step designed to reinforce institutional governance, broaden the scope of da‘wah (Islamic outreach) activities, and propel sustainable development across all the organisation's operational districts.
The incoming executives have been entrusted with a clear mandate: to guide The Dawn over the next two years in alignment with its core mission. This mission centres on faith-based development, active youth engagement, and creating tangible community impact.
