In a distressing incident highlighting the persistent insecurity in Nigeria's rural heartlands, fifteen farmers were abducted in Kaduna State. The attack occurred in the Ungwan Nungu community, Bokana Ward, Sanga Local Government Area.
Details of the Kidnapping Incident
The victims were seized on Saturday, November 29, 2025, as they made their way home from their farms. The community was thrown into panic and mourning following the brazen assault by armed men.
The abduction was officially confirmed by Daniel Amos, the member representing the Jema'a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. In a statement issued on Tuesday, December 2, the lawmaker expressed profound concern over the event.
Lawmaker's Stern Condemnation and Appeal
Amos described the kidnapping as a "cruel, senseless and deeply regrettable" act. He emphasized that this attack underscores the worsening security challenges faced by agrarian communities who are simply striving to earn a livelihood.
"This heartbreaking incident is another painful reminder of the insecurity that innocent citizens continue to face in their daily struggle for survival," Amos stated. "Targeting peaceful, hardworking community members is unacceptable and must not be tolerated under any circumstance."
The legislator made a direct appeal to the residents of Ungwan Nungu and neighboring areas:
