All 38 Eruku Church Kidnap Victims Rescued Alive

The Christian community in Kwara State is celebrating a miraculous deliverance after all 38 members of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke-Segun in Eruku, who were kidnapped by armed terrorists, have been successfully rescued alive.

Pastor's Emotional Confirmation

Emmanuel Akeredolu, the Ilorin District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, provided a heartfelt update after personally visiting the rescued victims at the Government House Clinic in Ilorin. The pastor expressed profound gratitude that none of the 38 kidnapped worshipers were lost during the traumatic ordeal.

"Our Lord is good. I'm happy to share with you and to tell the whole world that the God of Christ Apostolic Church answereth prayers," Pastor Akeredolu declared with visible emotion. "Concerning the 38 kidnapped members of our church at CAC Oke-Segun Eruku, Kwara State, they have been rescued alive, none of them lost. We give all glory to God."

The Tragic Attack and Rescue Operation

The incident began when armed terrorists stormed the Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara state, during a worship service. The attackers abducted 38 congregants in a brazen assault that also claimed the lives of at least two people.

The attack was captured in a viral video that circulated widely on social media platforms, drawing national attention and outrage. The footage showed the chaotic scene as worshipers were taken captive by the armed assailants.

Pastor Akeredolu described the condition of the rescued victims, noting they appeared exhausted and traumatized from their experience. "They were tired. There were no slippers, no shoe on them. They have been traumatized," he observed after his visit to the medical facility where they were receiving care.

Gratitude and Celebration

The church leader extended appreciation to both the Kwara State Government and President Bola Tinubu for their swift intervention that led to the successful rescue operation. He emphasized that the collective prayers of Christians across the nation had been answered in what he described as a divine intervention.

"The prayers that we prayed to God to go and deliver them alive, God answered our prayers," Pastor Akeredolu testified. "We thank everybody, every Christian member praying for them. And I want to say congratulations to the president of CAC, congratulations to our regional superintendent, and congratulations to myself that we did not mourn over them."

The pastor confirmed that while visitors were not permitted to record videos during the hospital visit, he personally witnessed all the rescued members, including men, women, and a very young lady, confirming their safe return.

The Christ Apostolic Church community and the broader Christian population in Kwara State are now in a joyous mood as news of the successful rescue continues to spread, marking a triumphant conclusion to what could have been a national tragedy.
