Family Celebrates Safe Return After Terrifying Ordeal
A Nigerian man from Kwara State has expressed overwhelming joy and gratitude after his mother, cousin, and other relatives were safely rescued from kidnappers who abducted them at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku. The emotional rescue brings relief to families affected by the disturbing incident that occurred in recent days.
Heartfelt Gratitude for Successful Rescue Operation
Balogun Olajide, who shared the good news on Facebook, extended his profound appreciation to all parties involved in securing the safe return of his family members. He specifically thanked President Bola Tinubu, the Kwara State Government, and various security agencies for their swift response and effective intervention that led to the successful recovery of all victims.
In his emotional Facebook post, Balogun stated: "I give God the glory, honour, and adoration for his mercies that endureth forever. I want to specially thank my family and everyone for your prayers and support for my mum, my cousin, my relatives, and friends who were safely returned after many days in the hands of kidnappers."
Community and Activist Support Proves Crucial
The rescue operation saw significant support from human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu, who traveled from the eastern part of the country to Eruku to advocate for the release of the abductees. Balogun acknowledged this extraordinary effort, noting: "Special thanks to Mr. Harrison Gwamnishu, an Activist who came from the East to support and advocate for the release of all the abductees."
Emmanuel Akeredolu, a senior pastor with Christ Apostolic Church in Ilorin, confirmed the positive outcome, expressing his happiness that all 38 kidnapped church members had been rescued alive. He declared: "Our Lord is good. I'm happy to share with you and to tell the whole world that the God of Christ Apostolic Church, answereth prayers. Concerning the 38 kidnapped members of our church at CAC Oke-Segun Eruku, Kwara State, they have been rescued alive, none of them lost. We give all glory to God."
The incident, which occurred at the CAC Oke-Segun parish in Eruku, had raised concerns about security in the region. However, the successful rescue of all victims without any casualties has brought hope and celebration to the affected families and the broader community.
