Nigerian Startup MYai Robotics Launches Curation AI to Fight Fake News
Nigerian Startup Builds Real-Time AI to Authenticate Content

In a significant technological breakthrough for Africa, a Nigerian startup has unveiled an artificial intelligence platform designed to combat the global scourge of misinformation in real time.

A Nigerian-Built Solution for a Global Problem

MYai Robotics, a Nigerian tech firm, has officially launched Curation AI, described as the world's first real-time content-authentication and opinion-intelligence engine. The innovation, announced on 2 December 2025, is powered by a team where Nigerians make up 80 per cent of the engineering personnel, marking a proud moment for homegrown talent.

This development positions Nigeria at the forefront of a major shift in how digital content is verified. In an age where false information often outpaces the truth, Curation AI offers a powerful tool built specifically to address one of the digital world's most persistent challenges.

How Curation AI Works

Unlike many existing AI tools that rely on static, outdated datasets, Curation AI is engineered for instantaneous verification. The platform can validate various forms of digital content within seconds, including:

  • News articles and social media posts
  • Images, videos, and audio clips

Its sophisticated scanning capabilities detect manipulation, flag synthetic or deepfake media, and identify artefacts typical of AI-generated content. This provides users with a reliable authenticity check before they decide to share, believe, or react to anything they see online.

Kayode Aladesuyi, the CEO of MYai Robotics, stated that the platform's mission is straightforward: to restore truth and trust for ordinary internet users. "Truth has never been harder to find. Curation AI puts verification at everyone’s fingertips — empowering people to navigate the internet with confidence," he said.

Addressing Africa's Digital Realities and Global Applications

The innovation is particularly relevant for African digital landscapes, where manipulated videos, fake posts, political disinformation, and AI-generated content are increasingly influencing public discourse. With studies suggesting that seven out of ten people struggle to differentiate real from fake content online, Curation AI is designed for practical, daily use.

Potential applications are vast:

  • Verifying the authenticity of viral videos.
  • Checking facts related to elections and political claims.
  • Helping parents and guardians ensure their children consume genuine content.
  • Enabling brands, regulators, and policymakers to gauge real-time public sentiment and track live conversations.

The platform is already attracting pilot interest from sectors where digital integrity is paramount. Industries such as insurance, media, corporate communications, public policy, and legal compliance are testing the tool to authenticate content, detect fabricated materials, and monitor online narratives proactively to stop misinformation before it spreads.

The engineering, testing, and deployment teams, primarily based in Lagos and Abuja, developed the system using design principles informed by African contexts and locally grounded research. The company views this as a pivotal moment for African contribution to cutting-edge AI innovation.

Curation AI is now live and available for free testing by consumers, content creators, and businesses at its official website, curationai.ai. Users can immediately upload content, run verification checks, analyse sentiment, and sample all the platform's features.
