Former Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma has emphasized Nigeria's historic responsibility in steering Africa's advancement, stating that the nation's economic and technological triumphs fundamentally shape the continent's future. Speaking at Flutterwave's 10th anniversary Gala Night at The Delborough Lagos, Koroma framed the fintech company's expansion as a pan-African achievement rather than merely a Nigerian success story.

Koroma detailed how innovation originating from Nigeria creates widespread ripple effects throughout the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and broader African regions. "Out of every four black people in the world, one is a Nigerian.
