Enugu Opens 2025 Scholarship Applications for Indigenes

The Enugu State Government has officially commenced the application process for its 2025 Scholarship Awards, offering a significant educational boost to its indigenous students and teachers.

Scholarship Categories and Available Slots

Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has approved a comprehensive scholarship programme managed by the state’s Scholarship and Education Loans Board. The initiative is segmented into three distinct categories to cater to different academic levels.

The Undergraduate Scholarship offers 500 slots exclusively for 100 and 200-level students enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

The Teachers’ Scholarship is the largest, with 1000 slots available. This is designed for indigenous teachers working in Enugu State Government schools who wish to pursue a Master’s degree. A key condition is a commitment to teach in Enugu State Government schools for a period of 10 years after receiving the award.

For Postgraduate studies, 100 slots are available for both Master’s and PhD programmes in Nigerian universities.
