Victor Idowu Oyesanya, a Nigerian man, has shared his detailed observations after watching the full video of the auto crash involving music promoter and socialite Sam Larry, whose real name is Balogun Olamilekan. The accident occurred on Saturday, July 4, along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos State, resulting in the death of Sam Larry's bouncer and leaving Sam Larry hospitalized.
Key Observations from the Accident Scene Video
In a Facebook post on July 7, Oyesanya shared a clip of the accident scene and offered his perspective on what transpired. He stated that from what he saw, nothing happened to Sam Larry at the scene. According to Oyesanya, the video revealed that three people were in the vehicle: the bouncer, who was sitting in the front seat and died instantly; a second person who sustained an injury to his hand; and Sam Larry, who emerged alive and sat on the ground.
Official Response from LASTMA
The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) also commented on the accident. Adebayo Taofiq, the spokesperson for LASTMA, confirmed the accident to TheCable Lifestyle but noted that agency personnel could not confirm the identities of the victims at the time. He added that personnel were deployed to evacuate the injured and clear the roadway for other motorists.
Surfacing of Video and Social Media Reactions
Legit.ng previously reported that a video of Sam Larry moments after the road accident had surfaced on social media. While earlier reports suggested Sam Larry was receiving treatment and that he had suffered severe spinal injuries, the newly surfaced video showed Sam Larry visibly shaken but conscious, sitting on the ground near the accident scene. Rescue workers and sympathisers were seen around the wreckage as efforts continued to recover the remains of his late bouncer, Adewale. The video has sparked mixed reactions online.
