Upbeat Fest 2025 Expands Santa Grotto in Lagos for 15,000+ Visitors
Expanded Santa Grotto Returns to Upbeat Fest in Lagos

The festive season in Lagos is set to receive a major boost as the Upbeat Recreation Centre officially announces the grand return of its popular Santa Grotto. This beloved attraction will form a central part of the 2025 edition of Upbeat Fest, promising an even larger and more magical experience for families across the city.

Bigger and Better Festive Experience

Organisers have confirmed that this year's Santa Grotto, proudly sponsored by Kelloggs and The Hoppa, will be significantly expanded. The primary goal is to accommodate more families and give children extended, memorable opportunities to meet and interact with Santa Claus himself. The festival is scheduled to run for 23 days, from 13 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

Building on the roaring success of the previous edition, the 2025 grotto will feature a host of engaging activities designed to captivate young hearts. These will include enchanting storytelling sessions, the joyful distribution of gifts, and dedicated photography sessions to capture those priceless festive moments.

Building on Last Year's Success

The decision to expand comes after an overwhelmingly positive response in 2024. During that event, children spent quality time conversing with Santa, posing for photographs, and receiving special presents. The atmosphere was further animated by entertaining elves who delighted the crowd with dance and performances.

"Parents reported that many children were reluctant to leave the Grotto," a testament to the attraction's captivating charm. This feedback has directly inspired organisers to enhance the offering, ensuring even more families can partake in the joy.

A Full Festival of Family Fun

While the Santa Grotto is the headline act, Upbeat Fest 2025 promises a complete package of holiday entertainment. The organisers emphasise that the event is meticulously designed to provide a shared festive environment where parents and children can participate and create memories together.

Beyond the grotto, the festival grounds will be packed with attractions including:

  • Various games and challenges
  • Thrilling adventure zones
  • Exciting trampoline attractions
  • Creative play spaces for imaginative minds

In a statement on preparations, the organisers shared their enthusiasm: "We are bringing back the Santa Grotto with even more to look forward to." They project that the festival will welcome more than 15,000 visitors over its three-week run, marking it as a must-attend family destination this December and January in Lagos.
