The family of the late Mother Celestial Modupeola Oyindamola Aderonmu (nee Thomas) has announced the final burial arrangements for their beloved matriarch. The respected woman passed away recently at the age of 73.
Schedule of Funeral Events
The series of ceremonies will commence on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. The first event is a funeral rite scheduled to hold at her residence, No. 8, Ifelodun Street, Surulere, Lagos. This will take place between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m..
Following this, a Christian wake will be observed on Thursday, December 18, 2025. This service will also be held at the same Surulere residence from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., allowing friends and well-wishers to pay their respects.
Burial Service and Interment Details
The final funeral service for Modupeola Aderonmu is set for Friday, December 19, 2025. The service will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude by 11:00 a.m. at her residence on Ifelodun Street.
Thereafter, her body will be laid to rest at the prestigious Ikoyi Cemetery in Lagos. This marks the final journey for the departed mother and grandmother.
Reception for Mourners
A reception for all attendees has been planned for 2:00 p.m. on the same Friday. It will be held at the City Mission Methodist Multi-purpose Hall, located at No. 1, Alhaji Ade Thanni Street, Babajide Bus Stop (Small London), Surulere, Lagos.
