A Hybrid Festival of Fists and Beats

Scheduled to hold on 26 December 2025, the festival will transform the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos into a vibrant hub of sport and culture. Organisers, Flykite Productions, designed the event to cater to a broad audience by seamlessly blending live professional boxing with musical and comedic performances.

TheCable specifically praised the event's growing reputation, noting its successful mix of high-octane sport, captivating music, and a family-friendly atmosphere. This format aims to draw both dedicated boxing enthusiasts and fans of urban entertainment for a memorable end-of-year celebration.

Fight Card and Festival Lineup

At the heart of the night will be six professional boxing bouts across various weight categories. The headline fight generating significant buzz is the light heavyweight clash. It will feature Nigeria's own Rasheed “ID Buster” Idowu, the reigning Universal Boxing Organisation (UBO) Africa champion, stepping into the ring against Ghana's challenger, Nii Offei Dodoo.

Interspersing the fight schedule will be a series of live musical acts, maintaining a continuous festival vibe throughout the evening. The organisers have already confirmed that Afrobeats star Shoday will be performing live. They have also promised announcements of more performing artists in the days leading up to the event.

Deepening Boxing Culture and Entertaining the Masses

Flykite Productions explained that the core mission of the GOtv Boxing Night Jam Festival is twofold. Primarily, it seeks to deepen Nigeria's boxing culture by showcasing top-tier local and continental talent. Secondly, it aims to provide premium, end-of-year entertainment for a wide demographic.

The endorsement from TheCable marks the latest in a series of media accolades for the event, solidifying its position on the national entertainment calendar. With a N1 million prize money at stake for the boxers and a stellar lineup of performers, the festival is poised to deliver an unforgettable night of action and rhythm in the heart of Lagos.
