Kodak & Studio 24 Boost Nigerian MSMEs with New Photo-Printing Tech
Firms Launch Digital-to-Print Services for Nigerian MSMEs

In a significant move for Nigeria's small business sector, a new partnership is set to unlock fresh revenue opportunities by bridging the gap between digital photography and physical prints. Kodak Moments and its Nigerian partner, Studio 24, have officially launched a tailored photo-printing package aimed squarely at Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Addressing the Mobile Photography Boom

The initiative, announced on 26 November 2025, is a direct response to a major shift in consumer habits. While the use of mobile phones for photography has exploded, the capacity for on-site and affordable printing has not kept pace. This new offering is designed to capture this unmet demand, enabling businesses to easily convert digital images from phones and other devices into high-quality physical products.

A Comprehensive Package for Growth

The rollout is far more than just selling equipment. It is an integrated system that includes thermal printers, specialized software, and comprehensive operator training. According to Alfred Otieno, the Business Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Kodak Moments, this is a strategic effort to deepen the company's footprint across Africa through local partnerships.

This model is built to serve two key groups: established photography studios that currently offer only soft-copy images to their clients, and aspiring entrepreneurs looking to enter the market with a relatively low start-up cost. Otieno emphasized that the goal is to help operators "convert digital demand into physical products" efficiently.

Long-Term Support Over One-Time Sales

A key differentiator of this initiative is its focus on sustained partnership. Instead of a simple one-off sale, operators will benefit from continuous training, regular software updates, and ongoing technical support. This ensures that small businesses can adapt to evolving market requirements and maintain a competitive edge, fostering long-term growth and stability in the Nigerian MSME landscape.
