2025 Lagos International Trade Fair Opens for Business

The vibrant 2025 Nigeria International Trade Fair has officially commenced at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, located on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. The event, which opened with a colourful ceremony attended by dignitaries, promises a rich blend of exhibitions and activities designed to attract shoppers, families, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

A Platform for Nigerian Businesses and West African Trade

Organised by the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board, this year's edition has a clear focus on boosting the visibility of Nigerian producers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The fair runs from November 21 to November 30, 2025, offering a wider mix of exhibitors than previous years, including food brands, beauty companies, and tech creators.

Executive Director and CEO of the Board, Safiya Ndanusa, emphasised that the event is designed to provide stronger consumer engagement and create vital connections. She stated that the NITF 2025 offers direct access to buyers and distributors from across West Africa and beyond, which is a significant opportunity for local brands looking to expand their reach.

Key Features and Activities for Visitors

Visitors to the fair can explore large, colourful stalls displaying a vast array of products, from food and drinks to home essentials and the latest tech gadgets. To enhance the experience, the organisers have curated several key activities.

Firstly, numerous brands are offering free food and drink tasting, allowing visitors to sample new products like noodles, snacks, and yoghurts before making a purchase.

Shoppers can also enjoy significant discount deals on a wide range of items. Beauty products, packaged foods, and children's goods are available at prices lower than typical supermarket rates.

For entertainment and engagement, media brands such as Cool FM, Wazobia Max TV, and Nigeria Info FM have set up interactive booths. These areas feature music sessions, giveaways, and games that visitors can participate in.

Empowering Entrepreneurs and Creating Content

A core component of this year's fair is its dedication to supporting specific demographics. The event is partnering with organisations focused on women and youth, such as Femme Africa and Women Impacting Nigeria. These groups are hosting free training sessions, mentorship circles, and creative workshops for founders and small business owners.

Furthermore, the fair is a haven for content creators. Many brands have constructed bright installations and themed corners that are perfect for capturing photos and videos for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

Confirmed exhibitors include major names like Indomie, Minimie, Power Oil, Guinness, Colgate, and Kellogg’s, alongside growing brands like Wazobia Cosmetics and L’Avyanna. With its combination of business development, shopping, and entertainment, the 2025 Nigeria International Trade Fair is set to be a landmark event for commerce and culture in Lagos.
