D'banj & UN Launch Nigerian Youth Positively Driven

Popular Afrobeats musician Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, widely known as D'banj, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the United Nations to launch the Nigerian Youth Positively Driven (NYPD) initiative.

Major Partnership for Youth Empowerment

The exciting collaboration was officially unveiled during the UN@80 program held in Abuja, where the Creative Alliance for Peace was also launched. This development comes just months after Afreximbank acquired equity in D'banj's C.R.E.A.M Platform, marking another significant milestone in the artist's commitment to youth development.

The NYPD project represents a national call to action, encouraging Nigerians across the country to document and celebrate positive actions occurring within their local communities. Through this innovative platform, ordinary citizens can showcase the remarkable work being done to create positive change nationwide.

Financial Rewards for Positive Impact

The initiative features an attractive reward system designed to motivate participation. Individuals featured in uploaded videos stand to win a substantial ₦1,000,000 grant, while those uploading the content receive ₦250,000 grants.

These rewards will be distributed weekly as part of a large-scale campaign aimed at spotlighting and rewarding positive impact throughout Nigeria. The official portal at https://nypd.creamplatform.com is now active and accepting entries from participants across all regions of the country.

Long-term Vision and Amplification

According to program details, after the C.R.E.A.M Platform rewards the NYPD participants, winning entries will be transferred to the Creative Alliance for Peace for further amplification, development, and community deployment. The alliance will also steer projects toward renewable energy solutions and sustainability-driven impact across Nigeria.

D'banj expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing its importance in redirecting national attention toward progress, innovation, and the people driving meaningful change. "When you talk about the creative industry, we all know that today, content is the biggest export that we have as a nation," the artist stated.

He further highlighted the need for stronger support systems, noting that "Africa is the biggest when it comes to creativity and we have not even scratched 20%. I think it is so important to come together to have that voice."

The music icon concluded with a powerful call to action: "We're moving and the movement is called Nigerian Youths Positively Driven (NYPD). With it, we have created the alliance and we now need the youths who are positively driven to jump on it."
